Thank you to the city for the quick response to our water issue. We are back to normal operations. We experienced some very short power outages but students and staff are safe and warm. We will continue our regular day.

Currently, a portion of the district is without water. This includes Jones Elementary. Arrangements are being made so students have access to restrooms. The cafeteria right now is functional so we do have the capability to provide lunch to students. We continue to be in contact with the city to determine our schedule for the remainder of the day. If this is going to be a prolonged issue or it impacts the entire district then there may be an early release due to the water outage. A notice will be put out at 10:00am

After review of the forecasted weather conditions and discussions with area districts, Brackett ISD will be open and will follow regular operating schedule on Tuesday, January 16th. While there will be no freezing precipitation, it will be very cold, be sure to dress warmly. Our maintenance and operations staff will ensure our buildings are warm and ready for our students and staff. Please continue to check our website and social media for updates.

We continue to closely monitor the conditions for early Tuesday morning . We will review the forecast for a more accurate prediction this evening. Any adjustment to the school start time will be communicated through our website, social media, and school messenger by 5:00pm today. Stay warm and safe.

SCHOOL BOARD OF TRUSTEES REGULAR MEETING HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FROM MONDAY, AUGUST 14, 2023 TO THURSDAY, AUGUST 17, 2023. LOCATED AT THE BRACKETT ISD HIGH SCHOOL AUDTORIUM AT 6:00P.M.
